My dog hasn't slept well is this okay?

i slept on the sofa last night and my mom was watching TV and my dog was with us. usually once i fall asleep he does too even if the TV is on it never seems to bother him but last night my mom told me he didn't sleep he kept fidgeting all night and he would sit up and pant for no reason, the house was pretty cool and i figured he would sleep while i read in the day time but he only slept for about an hour and now hes all hyper running around and chewing his over-sized bone he seems really happy but I'm worried. is it okay for him to be up for so long with such little rest?
